Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to join our team. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day care and support to young people. Your responsibilities will include ensuring their safety, promoting their well-being, and assisting them in achieving their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
- Promote a safe and positive living environment.
- Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of young people.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people in a residential or similar care setting (not essential).
- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people.
- Understanding of child development and trauma-informed care practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes.
