This is an opportunity to lead the front-of-house team at a brand-new pub in Hobart, Tasmania. The pub has a rich history dating back to 1814 and offers a welcoming gathering place for all.

As the floor manager, you will be responsible for setting the tone of this new pub and working closely with the General Manager to drive overall management and operation of the pub's floor service. This includes ensuring excellent customer service, efficient table service operations, and maintaining high service standards while leading and developing the floor team.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams in a busy pub or restaurant environment, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. They should also be able to manage liquor licensing, RSA, food safety, and WHSE requirements, as well as confidence in managing budgets, rosters, and procurement.

Extensive training will be provided on the wine list, menu, and operations prior to opening. Service will be offered lunch and dinner with average shifts around 6 hours. The property will be open most days midday to 10pm (Thursday to Saturday until midnight, Sunday is lunch service only).

What You Need
  • Experience leading teams in a busy Pub, Venue or Restaurant in Tasmania as a Floor Manager or Restaurant Manager
  • Ability to lead an award-winning service team
  • Experience managing liquor licencing, RSA, Food Safety and WHSE requirements
  • Confidence in managing budgets, rosters, procurement
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of food safety and WHSE
  • First aid would be beneficial (willingness to obtain essential)
