Job Description

This position is part of the Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer program, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with industry stakeholders. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, your primary focus will be on characterizing vanadium from various horizons of the Toolebuc Formation and various tailings samples.

Working collaboratively with researchers from Earth and Physical sciences, Engineering, and industry collaborators/partners, you will conduct research and develop research publications as a member of a high-performing team. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that all key research outcomes and milestones are achieved within project timelines.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake research focused on vanadium characterization and tailings sample analysis.
  • Collaborate with researchers and industry partners to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and/or contribute to research publications.
  • Ensure timely completion of research projects and milestones.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A PhD qualification or equivalent in Geology or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in mineralogy, petrology, economic geology, and/or geochemistry.
  • Experience in geological materials characterization through instrumental methods such as EPMA, SEM, LA-ICPMS, XRD etc.
  • A proven track record in research publication.
