This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Midwife to provide high-quality services during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal episodes. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality midwifery care to mothers and babies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Obstetricians and Paediatricians to deliver optimal patient-centered care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current Registration with APHRA as a Registered Midwife.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Maternity.
  • Degree in Nursing and Health Management or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated high level of competence with a proven ability to operate confidently in Delivery Suite, Antenatal, Special Care, and Postnatal Units.
  • Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient-centered care.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with computerized reporting systems.
  • Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement.
  • Commitment to professional development and to a structured learning program for all staff.
  • Immunization Evidence (including full Covid vaccination and seasonal Influenza) and additional serology report.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Evidence of continuing commitment to professional groups.
  • Demonstrated participation in patient education sessions within the Maternity Unit.
  • Demonstrated participation in policy and procedure development.
