You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality midwifery care to mothers and babies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Work collaboratively with Obstetricians and Paediatricians to deliver optimal patient-centered care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Current Registration with APHRA as a Registered Midwife.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Maternity.
- Degree in Nursing and Health Management or equivalent.
- Demonstrated high level of competence with a proven ability to operate confidently in Delivery Suite, Antenatal, Special Care, and Postnatal Units.
- Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient-centered care.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with computerized reporting systems.
- Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement.
- Commitment to professional development and to a structured learning program for all staff.
- Immunization Evidence (including full Covid vaccination and seasonal Influenza) and additional serology report.
Desirable Criteria:
- Evidence of continuing commitment to professional groups.
- Demonstrated participation in patient education sessions within the Maternity Unit.
- Demonstrated participation in policy and procedure development.
