Job Summary:

The NSW Government is seeking a skilled Registered Midwife to join our Casual Pool team at the Royal Hospital for Women. As a Registered Midwife, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care within a designated unit, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients within a designated unit, adhering to policies and procedures of the Department of Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, and the Royal Hospital for Women.

• Function within the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Decision Making Frameworks for Nurses and Midwives, providing clinical supervision at the point of care.

• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.

Requirements:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the National Nurses and Midwives Registration Board.

• Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.

• A minimum of 1 year postgraduate experience working within either a women's health surgical or midwifery or neonatal/paediatric setting – experience to align with either RN or RM AHPRA registration.
