ASC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced WHSE professional to join our team as a Senior WHSE Advisor. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in guiding and advising on safety initiatives that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on WHSE matters to management teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective WHSE strategies and programs to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain WHSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including intermediate level with MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of Australian WHS/OH&S legislation Acts and Regulations.
  • Ability to respond to a changing work environment.
  • Proven experience with internal and external WHS/OH&S audits.

Desirable Criteria

  • Working at Height certification.
  • Confined Space certification.
  • High Risk Certification.

Experience

  • Demonstrated WHSE experience in a similar industry, such as defence or heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in partnering with key stakeholders to enable the development of risk assessments, safe operating procedures, and major hazard reviews.
  • Proven ability in providing advice and guidance to a complex commercial business in relation to WHSE operational activities.
