
APAC Regulatory Compliance Specialist

A Compliance Officer for Regulatory Affairs.
This role will oversee regulatory compliance functions and programs in the APAC region. You will develop and implement monitoring compliance programs to ensure we uphold our obligations for complying with relevant regulations, such as Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing.
As a Compliance Officer, you will perform second-line of defense activities in conjunction with the Sr Director, Regulatory Compliance. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing a compliance assurance plan, providing support and guidance to the business where required.
Key Responsibilities:
Nominated Compliance Officer: Ensure appropriate compliance arrangements are in place with regulated activities to execute regulatory responsibilities as required by AUSTRAC etc.
Submit required regulatory reporting obligations for applicable licensing/registrations across the region (e.g., AUSTRAC, PTRS & Modern Slavery).
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on due diligence requirements for distribution, incentive, and card partners. Perform internal quality assurance reviews on due diligence files completed by other analysts and suggest improvements to due diligence programs where appropriate.
Enhanced Due Diligence: Understand and conduct Enhanced Due Diligence on partners in high-risk industries and document due diligence files as required
Build collaborative relationships with Compliance counterparts at distribution partners to educate them on AML best practices and promote adoption of BHN tools and resources.
Transaction Monitoring: Conduct Transaction Monitoring Activities to identify potentially suspicious activity.
Collaborate with internal teams to support compliance knowledge on QBR's which may include fraud metrics, industry-specific updates, regulatory changes, and prominent fraud schemes.
Knowledge Management: Keep abreast of all new legislation and how it affects the business and report to the Board and Senior management in this regard.
Manage and update documentation that includes Compliance Policies, Operations Manuals (including CDD procedures), risk assessments, and applicable reporting.
