We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Consultant to provide advanced cardiac nursing services to patients and health professionals across regional and rural South Australia.

About the Role

This is a temporary full-time position (up to 27 June 2025) that offers a salary package of $121,537 to $126,970 per annum. The successful candidate will work in a supportive and forward-thinking health network, making a significant impact on the health outcomes of patients living in regional and rural South Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert and patient-centred acute cardiac advice and secondary prevention to patients and health professionals.
  • Develop and implement cardiac rehabilitation programs for patients with cardiac disease.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to reduce emergency department presentations and hospital admissions for clients with cardiac disease.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve access to health services for vulnerable groups.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Current cardiovascular experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the cardiac rehabilitation model of care within South Australia's regional Local Health Networks.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
