Job Title: Healthcare Operations Coordinator
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Healthcare Operations Coordinator. This is a key role that requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient registration of patients in the Emergency Department, greeting and welcoming patients and visitors, and directing them to the appropriate area or person. They will also be required to work on a rotating 24/7 roster.
Main Responsibilities:
- Registration of patients in a timely manner
- Confirmation of Medicare eligibility
- Supporting the Patient Liaison & Admission teams where required
- Assisting with the admission of patients from Emergency into the Hospital
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate III in Health Administration or 2 years' experience in health administration roles (preferred)
- Ability to work 24/7 rotating roster
- Understanding of medical terminology (advantageous)
- Intermediate skills in IT systems, particularly MS Office and databases
- Demonstrated experience of inpatient management systems
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Aptitude to multitask and work to timelines
- Trusted to maintain confidentiality
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good attention to detail
- Fluency in English with well-developed oral and written communication
- Good standard of computer literacy

Remuneration:
Our salary package includes a competitive annual salary, benefits, and rewards.
Estimated annual minimum salary: $60,000
Estimated annual maximum salary: $100,000
Remuneration currency: AUD
