We are seeking a seasoned executive with expertise in scripted content development to lead our team. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and develop original concepts that cater to both local and global markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create and pitch compelling scripted content ideas, working closely with creatives and talent to ensure successful production and distribution.">
  • Leverage your network of industry contacts to secure partnerships and collaborations that drive business growth.">
  • Develop and manage series development budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.">
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams, keeping all relevant development collateral up-to-date and accessible.">
  • Stay abreast of current market trends and buyer needs, identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation.">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

">
  • ">
  • A proven track record in scripted development, with experience taking concepts from conception to commissioning.">
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in scripted television production, with credits as a commissioner or Executive Producer on at least one drama series.">
  • A deep understanding of the domestic and international marketplace, including knowledge of commercial and public broadcasters, OTT media landscape, and awareness of trends in linear and streaming content platforms.">
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the scripted development/production processes and ability to drive project development.">
  • A strong network of contacts across commissioners, distributors, and financiers, as well as existing relationships in the creative community.">
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating content that champions diversity and awareness of the BBC's editorial values.">
