We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Law Expert, Regulatory to join our team at Zip Co Limited.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional with expertise in financial services and consumer finance legislation. As a Financial Law Expert, Regulatory, you will be working closely with our commercial, product, finance, compliance, and executive teams to ensure that we operate sustainably and compliantly in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide expert advice on regulatory obligations, ensuring that our business operations align with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with our Product, Marketing, Operations, and Financial Crime Compliance teams to ensure that our products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with our business operations, ensuring that we maintain a strong risk management framework.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our internal teams, including General Counsel, ANZ, to provide support and guidance on legal matters.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-7 years of prior legal experience from a top-tier law firm and/or in-house counsel position.
  • Qualifications: Strong understanding of financial services and consumer finance legislation in Australia (and New Zealand is a plus).
  • Skillset: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize a workload in a fast-paced culture.
