**Job Description:**

The role of a Support Specialist is to provide individualised support to individuals with complex needs. This involves conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing behaviour support plans, and providing direct interventions in individual and group settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop behaviour analysis support plans
  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the team's goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including doctors, psychiatrists, and occupational therapists, to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
  • Complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Hold or can obtain an NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and Working with Children Check
  • Proven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst, or Behaviour Therapist
  • Ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner, using high-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills, managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Hold a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
