St Joseph's Catholic School, Mount Isa is seeking a dedicated School Officer - ASL to provide learning and classroom support to all students, including those with identified additional needs.

About the Role

The School Officer - ASL works under the direction of a teacher to provide individualized support to students, both inside and outside the classroom. This may include assisting with specific learning needs, reinforcing positive student behavior, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to individual students with specific learning needs, including scribing, reading, and providing feedback to teachers
  • Assist students with physical needs, such as mobility support and personal care
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as record maintenance and producing resources
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy classroom environment
Requirements
  • Current Working with Children Suitability Card
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Ability to travel within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role
