The Melbourne Racing Club offers a unique opportunity for a Track Management Coordinator to join our dynamic Racing & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating track activities, ensuring the smooth execution of events and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Main Tasks
  • Coordinate track preparation, scheduling, and maintenance, ensuring optimal event conditions.
  • Work closely with racing participants, owners, media, sponsors, vendors, and local authorities to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Compile and update accurate track-related information, providing essential data for attendees and stakeholders.
  • Manage departmental resources, including equipment and supplies, to support efficient track operations.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to inform stakeholders about track updates and changes.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of track activities into overall event operations.
Requirements
  • A strong background or interest in the racing industry, combined with previous experience or exposure to administrative duties.
  • Proven experience creating engaging content on major social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, accompanied by strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, enabling effective issue resolution and track maintenance.
  • Flexibility to work at MRC racecourses across Victoria, including weekends and public holidays based on the racing schedule.
