
Strategic Team Manager

Lead a team of dedicated professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes for injured workers in a fast-paced work environment. Develop and implement strategies to improve service performance, foster a culture of collaboration and recognition, and promote safe, timely, and durable return to work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-performing team of claims and specialist personnel with varying levels of experience within the workers compensation space.
- Contribute to shaping the organization's culture through high levels of people engagement, recognizing the importance of diversity and increasing people's satisfaction levels and having pride in goals.
- Participate in workforce planning and recruitment activities for the function.
- Monitor service performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, appropriate support, addressing performance deficiencies promptly, and recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance.
- Mentor team members and provide them with coaching and professional support to ensure they reach their full potential. Analyze team performance trends and projections, and implement remedial action to resolve issues where required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in team management/leadership in a high-volume and fast-paced environment, or significant experience in workers compensation claims management and providing coaching.
- Knowledge of general business and administrative practices and managing cost-effective business activities.
- Experience in managing performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- A strategic mindset and approach to work.
- A strong sense of team and collaboration.
- A resilient attitude.
