This is a dynamic and pivotal role within the Headspace team. The Senior Clinician will work closely with young people aged 12–25, conducting screening assessments, providing brief interventions, and coordinating cases to support those experiencing mental health or drug and alcohol challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- The Senior Clinician will liaise with mental health professionals to determine clinical pathways for young people accessing headspace and Youth Complex services.
- Responsibilities include acting as a first point of contact, organising appointments, providing brief interventions, and engaging with GPs and Allied Health Professionals.
- The Senior Clinician will lead daily clinical review meetings, provide intervention for complex clients, and offer clinical advice to the Youth Access Team and Youth Complex Workers.
- A minimum tertiary qualification in Community Welfare, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Nursing.
- Extensive clinical expertise supporting young people with multiple and complex needs.
- Ability to engage meaningfully with young people aged 12–25 experiencing mental health challenges.
- A current Australian Driver Licence and willingness to travel across locations within the District.
