Job Title:

Mental Health Acute Care Specialist

About the Role:

You will work as part of the Mental Health Acute Care Team based at Gosford Hospital, providing expert guidance to consumers, performing clinical mental health assessments, and offering consultations to carers and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide acute care and crisis intervention in the Central Coast community.
  • Work a rotating 7 day roster within the team.
  • Support other mental health teams to provide safe and effective care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Proactive approach to engaging with professional development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
