We are very excited to the be the first District in NSW to open our doors wide to welcome a new health service **Head to Health Kids Hub**.

The **Head to Health Kids Hub** provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for children under 12 who require secondary mental health and wellbeing support. These hubs aim to improve early intervention outcomes by identifying and addressing mental health challenges in children at an early stage. Offering a stepped approach to care, the hubs provide tailored support, treatment, and intervention based on evidence and validated assessment tools. The team, consisting of medical professionals, allied health staff, psychologists, and early childhood development experts, works collaboratively to deliver bio-psycho-socio-cultural assessments and interventions that complement and enhance existing services for children and their families.

This **Mental Health Worker** position is graded for the following:

- Occupational Therapist Level 3
- Clinical Psychologist
- Senior Psychologist
- Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2
- Social Worker Level 3
- Welfare Officer Level 3
- Counsellor Level 3
- Clinical Midwife Specialist Grade 2

**About You**
- **Clinical Expertise**: Provide rapid response, assertive case management, and assessment for children and carers with mental health and substance use disorders.
- **Evidence-Based Interventions**: Deliver specialist clinical interventions centred on child mental health principles.
- **Liaison and Coordination**: Work closely with Central Coast Mental Health Services to ensure access and continuity of care for young people.
- **Interagency Collaboration**:Liaise with CCLHD, government organizations, and community-managed organizations to promote prevention and early intervention.
- **Holistic Healthcare**: Collaborate with mental health inpatient facilities, CAMHS units, GPs, and other providers for integrated care.
- **Continuity of Care**: Maintain strong links for care and discharge planning involving families and carers.
- **Community Engagement**:Liaise with community groups and organizations providing health-related services to children.
- **Educational Involvement**:Engage in staff development and review current literature.
- **Quality Improvement**: Participate in quality improvement activities and provide high-level customer service.
