Senior Sports Turf Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sports Turf Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring staff in sports field maintenance, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor staff in sports field maintenance
  • Operate precision turf equipment for mowing, line marking, and renovations
  • Monitor turf health, irrigation systems, and implement improvements
  • Apply turf nutrition and pest control accurately
  • Ensure WHS compliance and safe work practices
  • Liaise with clients and report on field condition and progress
  • Coordinate seasonal turf works and field preparation for events
  • Perform aeration, scarifying, dethatching, and rolling of fields
  • Manage turf installation, drainage, and softscape upgrades
  • Oversee maintenance of surrounding landscapes, hedges, and edges
  • Identify opportunities to improve field quality, efficiency, and aesthetics
  • Support variation works and ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent/Diploma
  • Driver's licence (manual or Automatic)
  • National Police Check (willing to obtain post offer)
  • Working with Children Check (willing to obtain post offer)
