We are seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our team and take on a challenging role that involves preparing tenders for diverse civil infrastructure projects in North and Central Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality estimates and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Review, analyse and apply project plans, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate civil estimates for a wide range of Civil and Structural projects.
- Prepare and send out supplier and subcontract packages and negotiate to choose the competitive supplier and subcontractor and in conformance with the project requirements.
- Collaborate with the tender and construction team to develop right construction methodology, program, and prepare project risks and opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive tender submission documents with adequate writing skills.
- First principle estimating experience and program skills.
- Monitor and seek feedback of project costs during the bidding and construction phases, providing value engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, and at least 10 years' experience in the Civil Construction industry. They will also be proficient in estimating software and tools, such as 'Expert' software and MS Excel, and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
