Role Overview

The Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in supporting the Centre Director to deliver exceptional early learning and care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the centre team, promoting professional growth, development and excellence in practice.
  • Effectively oversee the management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence, ensuring seamless operations and continuity.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Director to implement best practices and drive excellence in early learning, aligned with the Goodstart Practice Guide.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, children and families.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a customer-focused approach.
