Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team at M&T Resources. As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing project estimates, analyzing costs, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Estimation: Prepare project estimates in accordance with industry best practices and company procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Cost Analysis: Analyze costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment and adherence to best practices and functional requirements.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with key stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure required information is obtained.
  5. Pricing and Contracting: Develop pricing schedules, obtain market prices, and prepare documents for tendering and bid purposes.
  6. Risk Management: Participate in risk workshops and develop inherent risk profiles to inform pricing and contingency planning.
  7. Reporting and Communication: Regularly report to management and stakeholders on project status, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  8. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or an equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience as an estimator in the construction field, with demonstrable experience in the Government industry or other highly regulated industries.
  • Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills, advanced computer skills, and ability to use estimating and measurement software accurately and quickly.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven business acumen, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive innovation and best practice in cost estimation.
