Are you passionate about working with iron ore samples? Do you have good physical fitness and the ability to undertake shift work if required?

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handling and preparation of iron ore samples, as well as grinding, size analysis, filtering, drying and sample submissions. You will be part of a busy metallurgical testing laboratory that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results and maintaining strong relationships with its clients.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good numerical, communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Good physical fitness and ability to undertake shift work if required
  • Be detail oriented, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity, and ability to problem solve
  • A high regard for personal safety and the safety of others

This is a casual role but working full time shift work hours based on projects. These are not FIFO mine site positions. Training will be provided for all duties.

This role involves:

  • Handling and preparation of Iron ore samples (inventorying, crushing, blending, and pulverising)
  • Grinding, size analysis, filtering, drying and sample submissions
  • Iron ore related testing (drop tower, bulk density, jigging and magnetic separation)
