About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planner to join our client's team in Sydney. As a key member of the Supply Chain Planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the governance of the Demand forecast process, collaborating with sales, finance, and marketing teams to support Supply Chain Planning and Business planning processes.

Your primary objective will be to manage local S&OP processes, coordinating with local and central business teams to proactively suggest solutions to overcome planning and replenishment issues. You will also be responsible for forecasting, planning, and coordinating the movement of goods to meet customer expectations while minimizing excess inventory and ensuring efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the sales forecast process is managed according to a scope, detail, and frequency consistent with the Global processes of Supply Chain planning and Business planning.
  • Understand the commercial plans and their impact on volumes, collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Update forecast planning systems by promptly updating data in Demand Planning systems.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy through performance indicators, preparing reports for the Business and identifying critical areas for improvement.
  • Manage local S&OP, coordinating with Central Demand Planning team and different business functions to address potential stock issues.
  • Lead Customers Collaboration meetings and liaise with Sales and Vendors to determine order lead times and quantities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Demand Planning/Forecasting role.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
