About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Barista to join our in-house cafe team at Herbert Smith Freehills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of the cafe, including coffee preparation, sales, ordering, and new innovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the cafe's daily operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Chef to develop and implement a well-balanced, nutritious, and tasty food menu.
  • Manage cafe communications, documentation, financial reconciliation, and reports.
  • Provide ongoing coffee training, support, and knowledge to other staff members.
  • Assist the Client Services and Facilities Manager with administration and reporting tasks.
  • Provide waiter service for meetings, including setup, clearing, and cleaning of meeting and seminar rooms during busy periods.
  • Collaborate with team members to share duties and responsibilities, ensuring continuity and coverage during absences or peak periods.
  • Provide assistance to clients and staff with audio visual and video conferencing needs.
  • Provide waiter and bar service for after-hours meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Excellent composure, with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve under pressure.
  • Punctual, reliable, and highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • High level of client focus, with demonstrated ability to act with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to successfully plan own workload to ensure prompt service of customers.
  • Maintain accurate profit and loss records.
  • Develop menus, appropriate to season, with consideration to kitchen preparation and corporate environment.
  • Immaculate presentation, in compliance with dress standards.
