Lead the DevSecOps Transformation at Commonwealth Bank of Australia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Transformation Leader to drive our DevSecOps transformation roadmap and lead engineering delivery teams on automation and transition efforts.

As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive DevSecOps transformation roadmap aligned with our overall technology strategy.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for the transformation initiatives and drive cultural change to promote DevSecOps practices and mindset across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive DevSecOps transformation roadmap
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for the transformation initiatives
  • Driving cultural change to promote DevSecOps practices and mindset across the organisation
  • Leading and mentoring engineering teams to implement DevSecOps best practices, tools and automation
  • Overseeing the transition of existing systems and processes to align with DevSecOps principles
  • Establishing metrics and KPIs to measure the success and progress of the transformation

We are looking for someone with a background in software engineering, ideally gained in a complex enterprise environment, and a deep understanding of modern software development including security principles.

You will possess strong leadership qualities and be a strategic thinker to deliver on agreed objectives.

Key skills required include:

  • Strong leadership qualities and strategic thinking
  • Deep understanding of modern software development including security principles
  • Experience in designing and implementing training programs to uplift engineering skills in DevSecOps practices
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation and collaboration
  • Alignment of engineering practices with Agile ways of working (PACE) and DevSecOps methodologies
