Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and process excellence within the business.
  • Manage direct reports and oversee the procurement of raw materials and packaging.
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and maintain pricing systems and procurement metrics.
  • Analyze RFP, RFO, and tender responses to ensure optimal procurement decisions.
  • Develop and implement contracts with suppliers, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Coordinate samples and specifications with suppliers to meet marketing and R&D requirements.
  • Support the Procurement Manager in identifying and evaluating alternative materials or suppliers.
  • Embed a culture of innovation and internal customer service within the Procurement team.
  • Actively communicate with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Innovation functions to understand their needs and requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and initiate change.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and logical thinking.
  • Capacity to develop and maintain information management systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in computer-based communication tools.
  • Understanding of Raw Materials, Packaging, and Indirects categories in FMCG environments.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the entire Supply Chain.
