As a Site Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement and design of the mechanical package for one of our key power projects - Kidston renewable energy Hub in North Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for mechanical and process equipment that align with project requirements and organizational goals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment.
  • Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring that all procurement activities are executed within financial constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure that purchased equipment meets all specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier correspondence.
  • Ensure all procurement processes adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced level of experience in procurement within the engineering or construction industry, with a focus on mechanical and process equipment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive cost savings.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical and process equipment specifications and procurement practices.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as standard office applications.
