We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Counsellor to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who have experienced abuse, as well as their non-offending family members/carers.

As a Counsellor, you will provide an integrated counselling service that consists of individual and group therapy to assist children and young people aged 5 to under 18 years old who have experienced sexual abuse or problematic sexual behaviour.

  • Deliver therapeutic services that address the range of issues arising from sexual abuse through assessment, individual case plans, and family/carer-based support.
  • Work effectively with children, young people, and their families/carers to provide a safe and nurturing environment.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Eligibility for registration or membership to AASW, APS, ACA, PACFA, or other recognised professional bodies.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in play therapy models.
  • High level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
