About the Job

This is a hands-on position that requires presence, professionalism, knowledge, and adherence to expectations in relation to waste management within Melbourne's high-profile Open Space network.

The role involves working with stakeholders to provide services while maintaining a safe and responsible work environment. You will need to be able to accommodate changing priorities and respond flexibly to uncertainty.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating rubbish compactors and performing litter collection duties
  • Maintaining parks and gardens, including grasslands and sporting grounds
  • Providing administrative support and interacting with various people

To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • A current Light/Medium Rigid Drivers Licence
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of rubbish compactors and parks and gardens waste management experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
