Space Maintenance Specialist

The role of the Space Maintenance Specialist is crucial in ensuring the upkeep and enhancement of public areas. This position involves operating hand-held and ride-on self-propelled equipment to maintain Council's Open Spaces and assets efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain and enhance Council's Open Spaces and assets, including operation of hand-held and ride-on self-propelled plant.
- Ensure high standards are maintained in public environments with a focus on safety and practicality.
- Support the maintenance and security of equipment, tools, and infrastructure.
- Certificate II or III in: Nursery, Parks and Gardens, Landscape, Conservation Land Management, Arboriculture, or Turf Maintenance.
- Proven experience in open spaces maintenance, including front deck mowers and related equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and public interaction.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Solid understanding of WHS, statutory requirements, and quality systems.
- This role offers the opportunity to contribute to business and quality system improvements.
- Basic competency in using computers and mobile devices is required.
