Sales Associate Representative

At Pottery Barn, we're seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences in our Bondi Junction store. This is a permanent part-time role with a fixed two-week rotating schedule, requiring 40 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing friendly and energetic customer service, exemplifying excellent customer service standards.
  • Welcoming customers and assisting with special services, including gift wrap, gift registry, locating merchandise, and more.
  • Efficiently and accurately performing register transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintaining knowledge of our products, features, and benefits, as well as current sales and promotions.
  • Utilizing effective selling techniques to build multiple sales and increase productivity.
  • Achieving established sales and contest goals.
  • Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of visual merchandise presentation, signage, and lighting.
  • Upholding store and stockroom maintenance and cleanliness standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Retail sales experience, ideally in specialty retail or homewares, with a strong client service ability.
  • A passion for homewares and/or food.
  • The ability to connect with customers through service and selling.
  • The drive to meet and exceed targets.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and manage your own time.
  • The confidence and passion to anticipate customer needs and problem-solve.
  • Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills.

This role requires:

  • Able to be mobile in the store and back of house areas, including standing for long periods.
  • Able to climb ladders and use other equipment in line with safety standards.
  • Able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 30 kg, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
