Empowering Lives: Aged or Disabled Carer Role

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Daily Support
  • Deliver compassionate personal care assistance, including help with dressing, bathing, and toileting.
  • Support clients with essential daily tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and other household duties.
  • Assist with personal hygiene needs, including bathing and dressing, as required by the client.
  • Administer prescribed medications meticulously, adhering to schedules and maintaining precise documentation.
Well-being and Independence
  • Foster healthy lifestyle choices by assisting clients with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and promoting nutritious eating habits.
  • Enable clients by developing new life skills, covering areas like budgeting, employment readiness, and self-care practices.
  • Enhance overall quality of life by supporting clients in pursuing new interests and hobbies.
  • Facilitate community participation and independence by transporting and accompanying clients to appointments and social activities.
Collaborative Care
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Adapt communication techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual client.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Full legal working rights within Australia.
  • A personal motor vehicle with current third-party car insurance is mandatory for transporting participants.
  • Hold a Yellow Card or be willing to apply.
  • Hold a Blue Card or be willing to apply.
  • Excellent availability, including weekends and nights.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate 3 or above in community services or individual support, and at least 1 year of experience.
  • A strong understanding of Asian Culture and Cultural Practices.
  • Experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
