Job Title:

Technology Operations Specialist

Job Description

The Technology Operations Specialist will be responsible for the administration, tracking and support activities of Digital Technology work.

  • Proactively drive the prioritization and resource planning of Digital Technology work to support business objectives and key initiatives.
  • Partner with business & regional leaders to understand and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Work closely with multiple application teams to communicate status, establish appropriate automation and monitoring capabilities as well as disaster recovery and failover capabilities.
  • Keep abreast of new tools and technologies while taking part in the evaluation and recommendations for new or enhanced capabilities that could improve current platforms.
  • Develop technical standards, documentation and knowledge transfer for operational support including the coordination of knowledge transfer to other team members.
  • Complete root cause analysis of defects and implement controls to mitigate repetitive issues.
  • Understand and promote security policies and procedures.
  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE Business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
  • Engage in onsite interaction with stakeholders, 5 days a week.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience.

Technical Expertise:

  • Basic knowledge of financial systems and processes.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (certification is a plus).

Other Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of Sarbanes Oxley.
