About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Hydropower Equipment Specialist to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

This is a unique opportunity to support project delivery on the ground and contribute to the strategic development of our operations in Australia.

  • Acting as the primary technical point of contact for clients on matters related to the design of hydraulic structures.
  • Leading or supporting the development of technical studies locally, including preparation of reports, calculation notes, and technical memos.
  • Reviewing and validating specific project deliverables as required.
  • Participating in and leading internal and external technical meetings with clients and partners, addressing technical, administrative, and contractual matters in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Organizing and contributing to technical workshops related to project topics.
  • Coordinating effectively between client requirements and our design teams, distinguishing which topics can be handled locally and which require input or validation from central engineering teams.
  • Conducting occasional site visits for inspections, as needed.

In addition to the core technical responsibilities, this role will also involve contributing to the development of our activities in Australia, including:

  • Supporting our Business Development team by participating in client meetings, building relationships with partners, and promoting our technical expertise across various domains.
  • Assisting in bid preparation, including the development of technical methodologies and estimating effort and timelines for specific tasks.

The position will also involve regular short-term travel (typically less than one week) for site visits or client meetings.
