Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Distribution Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our regional distribution centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dynamic team, driving safety and operational excellence, and fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supply chain management, warehouse operations, and logistics. Strong leadership skills, coupled with experience in managing teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives, are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small, agile team with a focus on coaching, development, and performance
  • Drive safety as a core value across the site, including the yard and operations
  • Achieve cost, KPI, and service metrics through process improvements and optimization
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and customer satisfaction

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years working in a supply chain, warehouse, and distribution environment
  • Proven ability to manage both inbound and outbound logistics, reporting, compliance, and project management
  • Experience with WMS systems (SAP/ERP highly regarded), inventory control, and load planning
  • Knowledge of 5 S lean management, Chain of Responsibility (COR) and load restraint regulations
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, experienced in coaching and mentoring others
