The successful candidate will be part of a high-profile renewable energy project and play a key role in its successful delivery. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining the payroll processing system, advising payroll team members on taxes and employment laws, and preparing accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, and a minimum of 10+ years' experience in Payroll. Proficiency in Preceda Payroll System is required. The successful candidate will be based in Cooma and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. The Payroll Manager will also be responsible for facilitating audits, identifying and recommending updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures, and overseeing the daily workflow of the department.
