A rare opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Lawyer to join an insurance and institutional liability team.

This is a litigation-focused role with exposure to significant institutional clients, defending historical abuse claims with sensitivity and skill.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a diverse and sensitive file load of abuse law matters from end to end
  • Drafting legal advice, pleadings, and court documents
  • Representing the firm at directions hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
  • Collaborating with a close-knit, high-calibre team

Ideal for someone with 3–8 years PQE and prior experience in abuse litigation or institutional liability.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lawyer to join our insurance and institutional liability team. As a Defendant-Side Abuse Lawyer, you will work on complex institutional abuse and public liability claims.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of abuse law and its application in various contexts
  • Excellent drafting and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • 3-8 years post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Prior experience in abuse litigation or institutional liability
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
