Your Key Responsibilities

As a Shotfirer, you'll lead blasting operations with precision and efficiency, guiding and supporting the blast crew to enhance their performance and develop their skills. You'll oversee the maintenance and safety of all blasting equipment, maintain accurate records of blasting activities and inventory, and proactively solve technical and operational issues during blasting activities.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • A solid background as a Shotfirer in quarrying or coal mines
  • Strong knowledge of explosives, blasting techniques, and safety procedures
  • The relevant certifications and licences required by regulatory bodies
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • A can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • The ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
