Position Overview -

As a Paint & Blast Trades Assistant, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic field of abrasive blasting and protective coatings. This full-time, permanent position is vital for maintaining the efficiency of our operations while adhering to the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Execute paint and blast repairs along with enhancements to the rental equipment fleet as necessary.
  • Prepare and manage abrasive paint and blast processes for earthmoving machinery independently.
  • Utilize two-pack systems for applying coatings to structural steel and machinery.
  • Conduct blasting, priming, and painting tasks according to job specifications.
  • Perform general housekeeping and yard maintenance as needed.
  • Ensure all completed work aligns with our safety protocols.
  • Oversee the quality of all work performed to maintain high standards.

What We Seek -

  • Eligibility to work in Australia without restrictions.
  • Valid Australian driver's license (essential).
  • Proven experience in industrial painting and blasting.
  • Experience with painting and blasting heavy earthmoving equipment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to disassemble equipment for surface preparation.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and their significance.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to work effectively within a small team environment.
  • Current High-Risk Forklift License is highly desirable.
  • Current Working at Heights Certificate is highly desirable.
