Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with supervisors, leaders, and managers to identify suitable roles and pathways for Indigenous and Traditional Owner candidates, program graduates, apprenticeships, and School Based Trainees
  • Develop and engage relevant programs to identify relevant pathway candidates
  • Manage the journey of candidates into and through the pathways to ensure retention and engagement by relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in the supervision of the School Based Trainee Program in conjunction with Newman Senior High School
  • Aid in the facilitation of key events that support employment pathways and elevate the recognition of Indigenous days of importance
  • Deliver data and insights on employment pathway activities
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of all successful candidates

About You

  • Familiarity and understanding of the BHP Social Value purpose and Inclusion & Diversity strategy
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to recognise where value can be added and have the organisational and influencing skills to deliver against commitments
  • Experience mentoring, coaching team members under your direct supervision
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders ranging from graduates/trainees and team members to senior business leaders
  • High level of experience in stakeholder engagement both externally and internally, with a proven track record
