The successful candidate will provide high-quality support services to clients in their homes and communities, helping them to develop skills, engage in social activities, and achieve their personal goals in accordance with their care plans.

This position requires a caring and empathetic nature, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to varying client needs.

About the Role

  • Provide assistance with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
  • Support clients in attending medical appointments, social engagements, and community participation activities
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary requirements
  • Perform domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping
  • Assist with medication reminders in line with client care plans
  • Facilitate skill development, independence, and daily living activities
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with other support workers, allied health professionals, and family members

Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Australian Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others
  • Understanding of person-centred care principles
