Job Overview

Purpose of the Position:

The successful candidate will perform business development activities within a designated area or region, collaborating closely with clients to forecast and create future work requirements, work value, duration, and necessary resources.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Outcome Delivery Management: Manage resources to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
  • Work Forecast Development: Maintain an accurate forecast of upcoming work within the designated area of control.
  • Business Development Engagement: Engage with existing and potential clients for business expansion opportunities.
  • Quotation Provision: Provide quotations for work projects meeting or exceeding target gross margin.
  • Maintenance and Servicing: Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of plant and equipment as needed.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks associated with assigned tasks.
  • Specialist Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with specialists for contract negotiations as required.
  • Client Relationship Management: Foster strong client relationships to ensure work delivery exceeds expectations.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources to maximize billable utilization.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Perform additional duties assigned by superiors as needed.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Trade Qualifications: Possess relevant trade qualifications.
  • Project Management Experience: Have experience in project management.
  • Current Driver's Licence: Hold a current driver's licence.
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC): Possess a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).

Desirable Attributes:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • Container Terminal Asset Maintenance Experience: Have experience in container terminal asset maintenance.
