**Role Overview**

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless cargo operations. They will also possess good analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.

In addition to leading cargo operations, they will also be responsible for:

  • Relieving team leaders or supervisors when necessary;
  • Processing import flights and prioritising special cargo for retrieval;
  • Reporting data to Australian Customs and ensuring cargo is clear to move to the off-airport facility;
  • Adhering to airline, customs and quarantine procedures, including completing bond checks;
  • Maintaining professional relationships with customers and assisting with enquiries and complaints;
  • Creating invoices and reconciling banking;
  • Processing cash and electronic transactions;
  • Contacting customers and advising them of customs clearance procedures;
  • Maintaining a strong safety culture within the workforce, driving OH&S awareness and compliance;

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Possess strong Cargo system and Microsoft Office Suite skills;
  • Possess customer service experience;
  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Be willing and able to work shift work;
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Have a high level of attention to detail and numerical ability;
  • Have a working knowledge of operating procedures, requirements and systems;
  • Be aware of dangerous goods handling requirements and security awareness;
