Installation Technician

We are seeking an experienced Installation Technician to support our team in Sydney. As part of this role, you will be responsible for the design, planning, installation and testing of communication systems upgrades on Australian defence projects.

This position requires occasional travel interstate and involves working with technical skills and knowledge to install, test and configure electronic and communication equipment/software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop documentation to support installation activities.
  • Perform installations of project-specific equipment.
  • Test new installations to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
  • Set up and test electronic and communication equipment/software to support sub-system and system level testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems (or currently completing).
  • Practical experience on communication and/or electronic systems.
  • Computer literacy skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.

A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

You will also complete police, medical, employment and references as part of our standard process.
