Senior Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Senior Software Engineer. This is an exceptional opportunity for recent and upcoming graduates to join our team in Sydney, sharpen their technical skills, and learn about the trading industry.

This is a challenging role that requires designing and developing low-latency trading systems for our trading desks. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing high-performance low-level C++ / C# code for handling market data processes.

The successful applicant will conduct technology research projects related to scale and performance using open-source tools. They will also develop applications and services that receive and store trading activity, as well as create tools to improve system efficiency using performance data.

This role involves building complex trading strategies and having access to tens of petabytes of market and trading data for analysis.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field from an Australian or New Zealand University with a distinction average WAM.
  • Strong software development skills in C++, C#, Python, or Java.
  • A solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design patterns.
  • Experience developing performance-sensitive code is highly valued.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems, evaluate them, and suggest solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team while working independently.
