About the Role

The purpose of this role is to lead a high-performing team that delivers exceptional recovery outcomes and customer service. The position involves supporting a team of case managers who manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims by leading and supervising day-to-day work activity.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Melbourne office with flexibility to work from home. Your responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively with the group manager to develop and implement a proactive approach to managing workers compensation claims
  • Providing technical guidance in relation to the strategic management of workers compensation insurance claims to internal and external stakeholders
  • Supervising the day-to-day work activity, training, and development of a team of case managers
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced team leader with:

  • Experience in a team leadership role or equivalent within the Victorian workers compensation scheme
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing return-to-work claims
  • Strong understanding of contractual requirements and performance measures for Victorian Worksafe Agents
  • Leadership skills, including team building, coaching, performance management, and change management
  • Experience managing and developing teams within a personal injury environment
