The Project
A major alliance has secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including over 4kms of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations.
Open to traffic in 2031, this project will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
The Role
- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
- Review and understand Diaphragm wall shop drawings.
- Demonstrate knowledge of diaphragm wall construction.
- Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
- Monitor construction progress for adherence to program and report to the Project Engineer.
- Interpret designs for implementation in construction.
- Contribute to improve existing designs.
- Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders.
- Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
- Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards and specification.
- Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislative requirements relevant to the project.
- Demonstrate stakeholder management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Site engineering experience.
- Wide level of planning, development and review of projects.
- Advanced skills in relevant computer software packages; Microsoft Suite etc.
- Written, verbal and presentation skills e.g. facilitating meetings, pre starts and toolbox meetings and basic cost control skills.
