Job Title: Senior Project Manager

About the Opportunity

This is a high-level, strategic employment opportunity for an experienced project manager to lead some of South Australia's most complex and high-stakes civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in major construction and infrastructure project delivery, preferably in civil engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of major civil projects. This includes overseeing project progress, making high-level adjustments to staffing and resources to align with business goals, as well as leading contracts management, from RFI and variation approvals to negotiations and subcontractor performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide visible, hands-on leadership, mentoring your team to ensure project objectives and company values are met.
  2. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior external clients and all project stakeholders.
  3. Control project costs, monitor productivity, and implement risk mitigation plans to maintain positive cash flow and ensure project integrity.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in major construction and infrastructure project delivery, preferably in civil engineering.
  • A recognised degree in an engineering discipline or a related tertiary qualification.
  • Extensive experience in major project contract administration and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards, Health and Safety legislation, and defence compliance.
