Job Description

We are seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our team at West Wimmera Health Service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

  • You will work alongside our professional catering team to prepare quality meals for our customers, assist with meal preparation, service, and delivery, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene, adhere to Infection Prevention protocols, and communicate effectively with other employees within the facility.
  • Liaise and provide assistance with work colleagues and disability-supported employees in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and complying with cleaning standards and Food Safety Guidelines.
  • Ensuring strict adherence with West Wimmera Health Service Infection Prevention protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with other employees within the facility.
  • Liaising and providing assistance with work colleagues and disability-supported employees in a professional manner.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work without active supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patients, management, and the community.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and be multi-skilled.
  • Demonstrate basic ability to learn and use computer software packages including Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other software packages as necessary.
  • A Victorian Driver's Licence.
